Prayer of the parish

God of all time and space,
whose name is love,
Pour down your Spirit upon us.
Help us to listen to you and to each other so we may see more clearly your vision for us
here at St Hilda's,
where you are leading us
in your mission within this world,
who will be with us, and what we must do.
Grant us a new vision of your glory
so that we may worship more deeply,
a new experience of your power
that we might reach out to listen and heal,
a new awareness of Jesus in our lives that we may speak freely about our faith in him.
Grant us willingness to let go what is becoming a burden
and inspiration to start new ventures in partnerships and teams.
May we love and honour you,
our neighbour
and ourselves
with heart and soul and mind and strength
for Jesus' sake. Amen.
